Altec Lansing has presented its iPad well designed speaker - dock. It is obvious that this device is not just an ordinary iPad accessory, since it allows us to do number of activities hands - free. Different than the other docks that only let us to charge the iPhone or iPod touch and produce sound from it, this particular dock can securely hold the iPad. Besides that, it brings the ease to users to watch video on the iPad, charge and sync the iPad, work on the iPad, enjoy the music, and much more.

On the back of this dock, there is an AUX-in port and a power adapter socket, but it is quite disappointing that there is no USB charging port. It also comes with a slim IR remote control to navigate the music or video we play on the iPad.


Overall, this Altec Lansing Octiv stage suits for casual usages. For example, we can put it in a kitchen, bed room, or office room, where we can easily plug it in and let it play our favorite music or videos. For those who are interested, it can be purchased at $150.
