Acer Unveils Acer Iconia, the Dual-screen Laptop



Acer has finally published a dual-screen, Intel-based laptop known as the Iconia. The dual screen system makes this laptop different than any other laptop, although it is essentially just a normal 14-inch laptop. Both sides of this gadget feature the same size of LCD displays with 1,366 by 768 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The virtual keyboard has a full-size QWERTY layout with international language support, and includes predictive text for faster typing. Those two screens can be used to work on different activities by spreading the laptop, for example to watch a video, while the other one to write an email.




This Iconia uses Intel Core i5 processors, and a minimum of 4GB memory and up to 750GB hard drive. There is also an HDMI port, Dolby Home Theater v3, a built-in microphone, and a webcam with 1,280 by 1,024 resolution.


Some built-in apps are ready to be used on this device, such as TouchBrowser, TouchPhoto, TouchMusic, and TouchVideo. In addition, there are also three new apps are available on this gadget, like Social Jogger, Youtube, and Flickr.
